Beauty and the Beast (2017)
Here's one of Emma Watson's films in which she shines as the main star. In Disney's musical feature film, the actress plays Belle, one of the most beloved princesses in the entertainment giant's animated films, which received its live action version in 2017. Although many people missed the magic of the animation when watching the version with real actors, the film is not considered a total failure, having grossed US$ 1.266 billion at the box office against a budget of US$ 160 million.
The story has been kept to the details, following the poor maiden Belle who is not like all the other girls in her village. Interested in books and possessing above-average intelligence, the girl ends up kidnapped by a monstrous beast after setting out to save her father who has been imprisoned by the same monster. However, the beast in question is a cursed prince who will learn that, with the power of love, he can overcome his curse and improve various aspects of his character. This is certainly one of Emma Watson's best films ever!
Bling Ring: The Hollywood Gang (2013)
But if you think that Emma Watson's movies are all about teenage and romantic plots, you're sorely mistaken! The Circle (2017)
A lot of expectation was placed on The Circle for its conspiracy-filled plot and its cast of big names like John Boyega and Tom Hanks. But despite being one of Emma Watson's most interesting films with the best premise, it wasn't so well received by critics. Its box office was positive, however, earning US$ 40 million against a budget of US$ 18 million.
In this story we follow a young woman played by Watson who gets her dream job at a technology and social media company that is considered one of the biggest in the world. However, as time goes by, she discovers that many things in her job defy all ethical boundaries.
Regression (2015)
Many people have created a very childish image of the actress because of the Harry Potter saga and Emma Watson's films face a big challenge trying to break this stereotype. However, almost none of them play this role as well as Regression. This psychological thriller reveals such a disturbing performance from the actress that those who are used to seeing her as the little witch Hermione in the series that made her famous in theaters may be shocked.
Released in 2015, Regression focuses on a detective, played by Ethan Hawke, who has to investigate a fugitive played by Emma Watson.
